What's Happening with the Banks?

The government saving of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac and the positive intervention of the FDIC with Indymac saved Monday from being a severe downward day on the stock market. The trend though is still down, the bears have control, there's alot of hurdles in this economy to overcome. I see alot of bank stocks going down today and very little retracement. Is this just a one time things or are more to follow?
